Shingle Style at the Jersey Shore, Belmar, NJ

The existing family beach house had reached the end of its life and no longer supported the way our clients lived or gathered. As they looked ahead to retirement, the goal was to create a timeless coastal home—one that would serve as a permanent residence while remaining a beloved destination for returning children and extended family. Situated on a nonconforming through-lot, the project was shaped by a carefully defined program and the clients’ vision for a traditional beach house. With prominent frontage on two streets, the design was thoughtfully composed to present a refined and welcoming presence from every approach.
